➢ Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, regulations, and compliance requirements.
➢ Strong technical knowledge of medical and electronics principles, materials, and testing techniques.
➢ Proficiency in using laboratory equipment, instruments, and tools.
➢ Experience in repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting biomedical equipment.
➢ Familiarity with data acquisition and analysis software used in biomedical engineering research
➢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective internal and external communication.

Job Description
Ensure laboratory and other health care equipment are in good working order. Install, maintain, test, calibrate, and repair different equipment types, and teach others how to operate. Under general supervision, perform skilled duties in the testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating equipment in the Electronics Laboratory; maintain and repair computer network; and perform related work as required.
The Electronics/Bio/Wet Laboratory Technician performs technical work in the maintenance, repair, calibration, and installation of various electronic equipment/Wet lab; distributes and maintains laboratory test equipment for users; ensures efficient computer network operation; and arranges for repair and calibration of significant equipment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
➢ Manage and supervise daily laboratory operations (at DERBI Lab), ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
➢ Improve workflow, SOPs, and documentation processes to optimize laboratory efficiency.
➢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, engineers, and quality assurance professionals, to achieve organizational goals.
➢ Organise sessions/workshops for the startups
➢ Innovation and program management with the team
➢ Installs new equipment by adjusting, establishing, testing, and calibrating performance.
➢ Troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, designs circuits, fabricates biomedical and electronic test equipment and maintains documentation.
➢ Order and maintain inventory of replacement parts for electronic equipment; maintain warranty, service, and repair records; work with vendors to obtain pricing and availability of needed parts; perform quality checks on newly delivered equipment to ensure proper operation.
➢ Directs operation of biomedical equipment by providing demonstrations, supplying information and data, instructing others in the care and use of equipment, and answering all questions
➢ Trains and guides lab users to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment and laboratory; distributes parts to students and startups for use in laboratory exercises.
➢ Plans and schedules software upgrades; tests, debugs, configures, and documents software as required to meet user needs.
➢ Establishes and maintains laboratory procedures.
➢ Basic soldering skills (through hole & SMD rework) & understanding of ESD protection, and well versed in volt/power meter and hand-held power tools.
