On 17th and 18th of January, 2020, the Government of India and Karnataka hosted the first edition of B2G startup conclave, Techbharat 2020, at Taj Yeshwantpur, Bangalore. The 2-days event witnessed active participation of officials of Government, 25 speakers from various domains, 100+ startup investors and 750+ startup reps. The event had speaker sessions from key speakers such as Mr Ravi Shankar Prasad, Dr Ashwath Narayan, Kris Gopalkrishnan, Ajay Prakash Sawhney, Tejasvi Surya and others. 50 premium startups exhibited their products. DERBI incubator and three of its incubatees (Makerinme, Hearthealth Technologies and Machstatzparticipated in the event.

Techbharat 2020 was a congregation of lean startups and a spectrum of stakeholders in the startup ecosystem, including the Government. It offered a platform for startups, small and medium enterprises, to understand the government policies and facilities, interact with government officials, serial entrepreneurs, successful founders, startup investors and technology companies. The event also aimed to recognize the top five most promising startups among the premium startups. A dedicated elite panel of government authorities evaluated the startup exhibitors and declared the results. Among the Top Five Most Promising Startups, Makerinme secured its position among the top 5 for their product “Cretile – a complete STEM solution” (www.cretile.com)All the winners of the top five most promising startups were awarded INR 1 Lakh each.
