Open Source
Product Development Platform

About Creato

To imbibe an innovation culture and facilitate more deep tech healthcare startups in India, DERBI Foundation is conceptualizing an open-source product development platform. The platform features a cohort-based collaborative product development approach. The platform will host startups who will collaborate to develop an open-source product by offering fellowships and internships and also leveraging know-how from enterprises. Startups can further innovate on use cases and innovate further to launch products.

The first product from the portfolio will be an open-source VIS-NIR Spectrometer. We invite innovators/startups to participate in the product development, bringing their use cases. To select startups, fellows and interns who will be working on the product development, DERBI Foundation is hosting a hackathon.

Hack for Health – Hackathon

Hack for Health is a one-day hackathon focusing on healthcare use cases. What can you design using components salvaged from the teardown of old CD Drives/ Printers/ hard drive? From the Hackathon, we will select start-ups, fellows, and interns for the upcoming product development program. We aim to conduct the hackathon in a hybrid model – featuring both online and in-person sessions.

Build a healthcare device using components salvaged from an old hardware (CD drive, hard drive, printer etc..)
